Poppy was the BEST! Everyone’s HERO, PROTECTOR and FRIEND. He was never judgmental and you could talk to him about ANYTHING! The epitome of a “man,” he set the example for how to provide and protect. I will ALWAYS remember his hugs, his care, his concern and his love for me and my children! To My Dad,
I sit here and think about how very much I'd like to talk with you today. I know how much you cared for everyone and how much we cared about you. You have left with such a positive impression from young to old. There are many many stories and some untold. You know so many people and have touched so many lives. Many lives have been saved by you as a firefighter. Many people have been embraced by you. Each time that I think of you Dad I know you are thinking about me too. An angel came and called your name and took you by the hand and said your place is ready in Heaven and you have to leave behind all those dearly loved ones. You had so much to live for, wanted to travel more and had a wonderful life. Your life on earth is past, in Heaven it starts anew. You'll live for all eternity, just as God has promised you. Although you have walked through Heaven's gate, I am never far apart. For every time I think of you, you are right here deep in my heart.
