10 years ago I was honored and privileged to meet one of the greatest women I am blessed to know. This woman was Estell Parris. I consider her great not only because she gave birth to 10 of the most amazing human beings , but also because she was witty and full of style - she stood tall. As I reflect on the times we interacted I am thankful for the opportunities I got to enjoy her company. Whether it was at Natalie's house for good food and family vibes, by her house surrounded by a few of her children or by Alesha's house where she stayed for a short while it was always a memorable time. She had her own name for me - brown lady and she always had that warm smile on her face.
As she moves to the other side, I encourage you, her children, grands, great and great great grands to hold on to and cherish the memories. You are all blessed beyond measure for being able to call this special woman mom or grandma. I know it won't be easy but find comfort in having each other. When I look from the outside I wish I had the gift you all have - all of you are alive and no matter what, at the end of the day you stand together. Together you are unbeatable.
I pray God continue to bless and prosper each and everyone of you as you adjust to this loss. Be comforted by the gift she gave all of you.
