Whenever we were in a room together you knew somebody, somebody knew you, but by the end of the night everybody would know Becky. I am constantly reminded that you really were the interstitial fluid between so many relationships. I’m grateful our lives crossed paths but moreover I’m grateful you taught us all how to Live. I worked closely with Rebecca for years at MSC. She was a bright energetic person who lived life so well. Through the years we spoke often about her list of exotic places she intended to visit and the highlights when she returned. She checked them off one by one as she accomplished each one bringing home little trinket reminders she stacked in a row on her work desk. I was so jealous.
While we both left MSC several years ago we kept in touch. Most recently on her birthday when I told her I admired her open & honest her regular postings on Caring Bridge were & how I thought she was brave.

My deepest condolences to the family. I worked with Rebecca and in fact, interviewed Rebecca for a role that didn't exist because when we had our first conversation, I could see a passion, reliance and a winner's attitude. Rebecca joined SW in 2021 and in her three years with the company, contributed greatly.
In my role as HR, I found out about Rebecca's battle and through her battle witnessed her strength and determination through her fight - accepting every form of treatment available - and my respect for Rebecca grew to new heights.
To the Avery Family, Rebecca's passing leaves a huge hole to the world, to the family, to her friends and colleagues as there are few on this earth who had her strength of character and passion. I am proud to have known her and will always have her in my heart. We will miss her greatly.

I met Becky playing kickball over 10 years ago, and we were fast friends. She kept everyone laughing and united everyone around mexican food, nights out dancing, and beach trips. She made everyone feel included and was always down for an adventure. She chose our team name “Purple Reign”. She left such an impression on me in one year and I will remember her forever. One thing that stands out to me is how much she loved her family- she spoke about you all in a way that made me feel like I knew you all. May her memory be a blessing. Here is a photo of her from 2013 that I can still laugh looking at. We stumbled upon a car show one night after kickball in Glen Cove and she was so pumped to see a Bugatti. I still quote her all the time “I saw a Bugatti once…in a rap video!”

I worked with Rebecca at MSC for a time. She was such a nice person and extremely good at her job. I know she loved to travel and remember talking to her after she went to the UAE, I think. We didn’t keep in touch, but always thought highly of her.
She is missed! My sympathies to her family. You are in my prayers.

Billions of years of Earth's history, and I had the incredible fortune of living in the same time as Becky. I was blessed with the privilege of calling her my friend. What a life of celebrations, joy, inspiration, and true friendship we shared. The world is undeniably better because she was in it, my dear. Rest peacefully, free from pain. I've cried for hours, but you will always be with us in spirit. I love you and thank you for the trips, the dancing, the photos, the Instagram jokes, the group chat laughter, the deep talks, the cherished memories, the people-watching moments, the encouragement, and most importantly, the love.
