Obituary of Curtis Isaac, Sr.

Curtis Isaac Sr. was born on October 7, 1955 and departed this life on July 8, 2024. Curtis was born to the late Willie and Alease (Daniels) Isaac in Enfield, NC. Curtis attended the Enfield school system and after graduation from High School, he relocated to Freeport, NY. Curtis worked multiple jobs before beginning his career at what was then Maria Regina High School in Uniondale, NY which later became Kellenberg Memorial High School, where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor until his retirement in 2021.

During his early years in New York, he met the love of his life Corlissa (Prince) Isaac, whom he affectionately called “Crease”. To their union, they birthed Curtis Jr., Corliss,  and Melissa (Kevin Powell). Within their union, they also shared 3 children,  Elfrieda, Terhan and Shawnica. 

Curtis was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. He leaves much love and memories behind for us all. 

Curtis was a humble and loving man who gave his life to Christ at Guiding Light Tabernacle. Curtis continued to worship and love God until he took his last breath. He would often be heard laying in bed calling on the name of Jesus. 

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert and Roy, two sisters, Gertrude and Marjorie and his daughter Elfrieda. 

Curtis leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted wife, Corlissa, his loving children, four siblings, WillieMae, Gerthina, Johnny (Maxine) and Phillip.  17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his passing a host of family and friends.
