Makeda and I met over 25 years ago. I called her Era when she told me that was her name. I loved it!!. She was a dear and loyal friend and if she loved you she would do anything for you. I used to marvel at her basketball skills. They called her "Ice" for a reason. That jumpshot was sweet!! She was such a sweet spirit. Era took me to her church one day and she got on the drums. She was so gifted!! I was in total shock seeing her play. She truly had a heart for God so I know she is resting well. I will miss you friend. That infectious smile and crazy sense of humor. Remember
when you called me and said "It's my birthday..You taking me to dinner!!"....We went!! Thanks for coming to my fashion show and helping me out at the club. Thank you for protecting me!!...Thank you for trusting me with your friendship. I love you always. Until we meet again my dear sweet friend!!..
