Mary's father was Ira Ficklin. He was my mother's brother. Mary's mother was Mattie Helms. They were married in 1935. Mary had a sister who predeceased her. Her name was Irene Ficklin. Ira remarried in 1965 to Dolly Taylor, and Mary has a younger half-sister named Dawn Ficklin-Shaw. Dawn has 3 children. Dawn lives in New Jersey.
