Obituary of Shawn Usher

Shawn Gregory Usher, was born on September 10, 1989 to his parents Gregory and Sylvia Usher at South Nassau Community Hospital in Oceanside, NY.

Shawn was educated through the Long Beach School system and was a very hard worker.  He worked for Metro Environmental as a Construction worker.  Shawn loved his job and all that it was teaching him while there.  Shawn was a Vibrant Young man who enjoyed to make others laugh.  He loved to call his mother “Sis Syl” matching the name she was called in Church.  Shawn considered himself to be Dominican because of his curly hair;  he would say his name was Jose Fernando Gonzalez, III.  Calling himself the “Dominican Prince with the good hair”.

One of his Passions in life was his Music.  He loved to rap and express himself through his music and rap video’s which was recorded and watched by thousands of Followers on You Tube. Shawn also loved to Travel visiting Vegas, Miami and California.  He loved making people Laugh but he loved more being a father, taking care of his Kids and taking them places creating memories.

Shawn Usher departed this life on Friday, April 7, 2023 in Long Beach, NY.  Leaving to mourn his precious memories: His Parents Gregory and Sylvia Usher, two sisters Tasha Capers and Yukima Gray all of Long Beach, NY.   His Twin Sons; Shawn and Carmelo Usher of Mastic, NY and two children he raised Dahmarion Moses and Dinasia Green of Mastic, NY.  His Grandmother Jane Gray of Long Beach, NY.  His Aunts, Wanda Butler (Bruce) of Lansdale, PA, Marcia Gray of Long Beach, NY, Sharon Wilson (Norman) of Baldwin, NY, Shanee White (Clarence) of Roosevelt, NY, Zina Gray of Long Beach, NY and his Uncle Kyle Usher of Shreveport LA.  Two Nephews Shaquan Barron, Teron Green, Jr, His Niece Shyiesha Sheppard and Great Niece and Nephew Jayvian Clark and Kaylani Barron all of Long Beach, NY.  The Love of his Life Latoya Streeter, of Mastic, NY.  His God-Sisters- Lakesha Wilson, Theresa Allen & Takisha Rainey.  His Close friends Dae-Dae, Ryan & Thomas and A lot of Close Cousins and Friends whom he loved.    Preceding Shawn in Death: his Grandmother Fannie Usher, His Grandfather Samuel Gray Sr and his Uncle Samuel Gray Jr.
