So many great things you taught me in this life. Growing up losing my father was hard. You made it so much easier. I know I didn’t always listen growing up, but I heard everything you told me. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Morant. Although I only saw him a few times when he visited Cheryl, Dee and Nasir, he holds a special place in my mind and heart. To me, he was larger than life. He always greeted me with kindness and that magnificent smile. He was a loving father and grandfather. Having lost my daddy last year, I know how much it hurts. To My Dear Friend
How easy it is to normally let the day go by and not say. . . for the many things you do for me. Many people do not get the relationship between you and me. How you can give directions to me without knowingly speaking a word? Your inspiration that is felt so often in the daily drudges, to keep my head up and strive to do the very best that I can, and knowing that you will not accept anything less than that from me. The shoulder to rest on, the extended hand to invite my growth, and the wisdom to know when to help and when to painfully watch as I learn through my own mistakes. These few words I have placed are a small token of how I feel. I would like for you to understand just how much you do for me every day of my life. As I travel without you now, know that I will use every moment we shared to guide me in trying to be the best father I can be. I had the best teacher ever! I LOVE YOU, Dad!
