Obituary of Evelyn G Woody

Please share a memory of Evelyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Evelyn Woody was born on July 10, 1972, to the late Arthur Williams and Edith Woody. She was born at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow. Evelyn was educated in the Roosevelt School District. She was an active participant in high school; she was a cheerleader and also joined the Step Team and other extracurricular activities. Evelyn had such a big heart and a radiant smile. As a child, Evelyn had an abundance of friends who helped her reveal her sparkling personality. She never discriminated against anyone; she would open her heart and home to all those in need. Those who knew her will remember how much she loved her sunflower seeds, Argo Starch and scratch offs. In 1966, Evelyn married her longtime friend, Guy Lee. They then moved from New York to Baltimore, Maryland with their two daughters Tashanaya and Tanaisha. It was there that their youngest daughter Tamira was born in 1998. Being born into a large family, Evelyn was the ninth of ten children. She was very family oriented, so much that she moved back to New York in 2006 to be closer to them. She spent the majority of her time with her children, nieces and nephews throughout her life whom she loved dearly. The love Evelyn had for her family was endless. Evelyn leaves to cherish in her memory her three loving and wonderful daughters, Tashanaya Ward (Tyquan), Tanaisha Lee and Tamira Lee; her grandson who was the love of her life, Trystan Ward; her goddaughter, Shanekquia Merritt; three sisters, Sonata Woody (Patrick), Sabrina Woody-Ward (George) and Sandra Brown (Elder Jeff); four brothers, Warren Woody Sr. (Tammi), Dennis Woody (Cynthia), Stanley Woody and Wesley Williams. She also leaves a lifetime of friends; Guy Lee, Kimberly Woody, Natalie Merritt, Cathy Lee, Karen Lee and her fiancé, Charles Faucett. Evelyn joins in her mother and father Edith Woody and Arthur Williams, Uncle Emanuel (Manny) Woody, her brothers Zachary and Darryl Woody and nephew Jeffrey Truesdale.
