Gertrude Smith was my second mother growing up. My mother and Mrs. Smith shared the same first name. I always felt so comfortable in her home, and she made me feel like her third daughter. I always admired her lean look with that beautiful thick silver hair. I have heartwarming memories that will always be with me. God bless her and may she rest in peace with Mr. Smith.
