Mr. Kevin, you have always been a second dad to me through your wonderful daughters who I call my sisters Imani and Kaliya. Writing this I can’t help but to think about all the summer mornings me and Guya came over to play with them and you made us all breakfast. Or when I had my first real boyfriend and you and my dad interrogated him together. Or when we begged you to let us take Kaliya to Greek fest with us and then we had to bring her home crying when the crowd knocked her down. You and my dad were the protectors of Centre street. No matter what you guys were always there for your girls. You will always be my second dad and for that you will always be in my heart. Sleep peacefully Mr. Kevin. We love you.

Having to type this right now is mind bottling! I would have never thought i would be writing something like this so soon. I met Imani back in 7th grade, we became sisters. Her father was my second dad, he always looked out for me and he did not play when it came down to his girls. He was a cool laid back kind of guy. Oh Dad
Attempting to share only one memory with all that we share is impossible. I can say that Kaliya and I will miss you beyond words. You were a protector and wanted nothing but the best for us at all times. I can’t help but think about all the times Kaliya and I drove you crazy by running down the stairs at full speed LOL just the sound of us possibly being hurt had your nerves on edge. I’m literally still trying to process the fact that life without you is our new normal. However, I find peace in knowing that while you are physically not here you will always be in our hearts and will always be watching over us. I find comfort in knowing that now you can protect us even more than you already did because now that you’re watching over us you’ll see things coming that aren’t good for us before they even get here. I love you forever and always and will continue to make you proud.

Kev gave us so many great, funny memories that I'm sure we could load the wall up with stories. His laugh, playfulness and eyes almost fully closed when he laugh will be the memories I keep with me when I think of Kev. However, Kev wasn't just jokes and laughter, he was a smart brother who knew his way around any car problem you threw at him. If he told you he loved you you knew he was someone that really had your back. Imani and Kaliya now have their biggest angel watching over them. Reeshemah, you are in our thought constantly.

I dont fully understand what you're going through, but I do know that GOD has the power to bring you through any situation. "I am your God.
