Harvey Miller, 79, lived in Uniondale, N. Y. with his wife (Catherine Agnew Miller). He entered eternal life on March 30, 2020. He was born in Charlotte, NC to the late Clara Miller and the late Israel Peterson. In 1964, he married Catherine Agnew and God blessed them with 56 yrs. of marriage. He was a certified barber and hair stylist. He was the owner/operator of Harvey’s Barber Shop in Harlem, NY where he retired after 50 years of service. He also owned C&H Discount Store, Miller's Fashions, and Tyson Records all in Harlem, NY. He was a great song writer. He produced music for his wife, Phil Ballou, The Paper Dolls, Lozine Wright and himself. He had a deep baritone voice. Many people compared Harvey’s voice to Brook Benton. He was a sharp dresser and an excellent business man. Harvey enjoyed gifting and sharing with his family and many others. He received appreciation awards from customers, friends from Harlem, and Sons & Daughters. Harvey was a member of the America Gospel Quartet, N.Y., a Master Mason of Lodge # 1 in New York and a radio announcer at WTHE, Mineola, NY. Harvey was proceeded in death by a brother Johnny Wallace and 2 sisters Clara Gray, and Ruth Miller. He leaves to cherish his memories sisters, Violet Leung, Charlotte, NC, Barbara Holland, (Donald) Louisville KY, and Lucille Hayden, Lexington KY. He also leaves cherished memories to a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
