The Malverne High School Football and Track programs, the communities of Malverne, NY and Lakeview, NY lost a great man. I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Coach Colbert Britt. He was one of the architects of the Malverne Mules 1990 Rutgers Cup Championship team that went undefeated and un-scored upon. But, his legacy will be the many students he positively impacted during his tenure as a physical education teacher, football and track coach and most importantly as a mentor and positive role model throughout the years. I was very fortunate to have coached for him the past 12 years. Coach Britt, you were a good, honest, principled man and you will be missed. Rest in Peace, your work is done and your legacy will live on forever! My condolences, prayers and thoughts to Mrs. Britt, Alma and the entire family.
With sympathy,
Scott Williams
