Obituary of Alisha McCracken

Please share a memory of Alisha to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Alisha Marie Harrell was born at Southside Hospital in Bayshore, NY to her parents Cecelia Harrell & Vincent Todd on March 22, 1985.

A native of Long Island, Alisha matriculated through the Brentwood School District and believed in her education. As a young girl Alisha always had a passion for helping people, and as a result after graduating from high school she attended Branford Hall for nursing. But Alisha did not stop there, she continued to push forward with expanding her education and enrolled in Briarcliff College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

Those who knew Alisha knew that she was genuine, caring, and loved to live life to the fullest. She believed that we had to maximize every God given opportunity afforded to her. Which is why Alisha loved to travel, shop just as every lady loves to do, and spending quality time with her friends and family. Family was a pillar that Alisha stood on, and as a result she cared for her Grandfather Cecil Harrell and her mom Cecelia Harrell with all her heart.

Life got sweeter for Alisha when she met the love of her life Corey McCracken in April 2002. The two were later joined together in holy matrimony on April 30th, 2009, and added a beautiful family to their union. The birth of her children was the best time in her life; and she and Corey felt extremely blessed everyday to care for them. She was an awesome mom that wanted her children to experience the best that life had to offer. They traveled and planned trips and took the kids anywhere that came to mind! Next year was going to be the biggest year yet; Alisha was planning the biggest vow renewal to celebrate 10 years of marriage to her love that would include all of their children, friends, and family.

Alisha was truly selfless and always put the needs and happiness of others before her own. While most like to hoard their birthday festivities to themselves, Alisha wanted her family to enjoy a vacation getaway. She was planning a birthday trip down to Florida to escape the winter blues and enjoy the sunshine. But God had other plans, and saw fit to remove the suffering and sting of sickness from her body; Alisha departed from this life on March 8th, 2018 into the sunshine of heavens arms.

Alisha leaves to cherish her precious memories her beloved husband Corey J. McCracken, her beautiful children; Naheem Glover, Serenity Kiemora McCracken, Corey J. McCracken Jr, and her youngest Kayden McCracken. Her mother Cecilia Harrell, her father Vincent Todd, her grandfather Cecil Harrell. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Sylvia Harrell and Aunt Dawn Jones. Alisha also leaves behind her three brothers; Vincent Todd Jr., Tyrell Todd, and Demond Todd, her sister Brenda Thomas, her precious God daughter Brooke Lyn Wimbush, best friend Jessica McCargo, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family.

Because Alisha was loved by many and had an extensive network of those who loved her. The omission of those names and persons we may have missed is not a direct reflection of what you have meant to Alisha. Please know that your support and love is keeping her memory alive in all of our hearts today.
