Obituary of Curtis Jones

CURTIS D. JONES (Mr. Hollywood), 46, of Roosevelt, NY, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center, Rockville Centre, NY. Funeral service will be held at Jackson Memorial, 60 Peninsula Blvd., Hempstead, NY 11550 on September 16, 2017 at 10am with Minister Sumpter Mitchell Jr. III of New Creation Christian Church of Fort Mill, SC officiating. Burial will follow at Green Field Cementery in Uniondale, NY 11553. Visitation will be held at Jackson Memorial on September 15, 2017 at 6pm -9pm. Mitchell Funeral Services, Inc. will be handling the funeral arrangements. Curtis was born in Rockville Centre, NY to Gloria D. Burris and the Late Robert Curtis Jones on July 6, 1971. He was raised in Hempstead, NY and attended high school at Hempstead High School. He will forever be a Hemptead TIGER for life. Curtis was a TRUE DIEHARD Giants Fan. Win or Lose!!! Curtis is survived by his Mother, Gloria D. Burris; Sisters, Anitrice Cathcart of Roosevelt, NY, Jackie Jones of Atlanta, GA and Kernise Gaither of Charlotte, NC. Daughters: Darkies Blackwell of Roosevelt, NY, Jazmine Jones of Hempstead, NY; Destiny Freeman of Bowie, MD and Soniah Jones of Elberton, GA. Sons: Corey Jones of Hempstead, NY and Elijah Jones of Oxon Hill, MD. Grandchildren: Taylor Williams, Kalilah Blackwell, and Ava Orellana. A host of Aunts, Uncle, Cousins and Friends. He is preceded in death by his Father, Robert Curtis (Bob Jones) Jones. The family wishes to convey our sincerest appreciation for your prayers and support during this time.
