Mr Perry as I was introduced to him was instrumental in my development during a very critical time in my life. I was 21 years old at the time (I am now 47) and was willing to go wherever my pride took me. Mr Perry's mild, firm and assured manner was disarming. He offered me a friendship that sparked a revolution of change within me. My departure from the space we shared was abrupt and untimely. Months later my son received a birthday present from Mr Perry on my behalf. I never got the chance to say thank you. Thank you for standing on what you said you were about. You exceeded any expectation. To learn that you continued to create a legacy of giving and making yourself of great service to your community is a special feeling. Mr Perry's community exceeds the boundaries of time and space. His community is wherever his example is set. Image anyone who experienced Mr Perry, pay it forward. Whatever kindness he lived with you, you now offer the genuine value of kindness to someone else. Someone that you are not obligated to. It has to be organic. Mr Perry will live through the examples I will continue to set forth. I recently lost the son that Mr Perry sent the gift to on my behalf. A motorcycle accident. 26 years old. Though shocked and hurt to just find out today that my mentor, big brother and friend has passed is painful. Yet, to see his smile and that sparkle in his eye made me smile. I look at the picture and I am further encouraged that my son is in a better place. All the people that truly helped me along the way; that is physically, no longer here, has found a way to jump out at me when I struggle with such a loss. It happened with my Big Ma and now with Mr Perry. Reassurance during tough times that my boy is in great hands. Thank You Mr Perry very much! I love you brother and I ask that you continue to help watch over us. To his family, my deepest and most sincere condolences is extended to you all. Thank you for sharing Mr Perry with the WORLD.
