Lissette R. Williams Obituary
Lissette Renee Siler Williams, born February 1, 1964, was the second child of the late Sarah Siler. From infancy to adulthood, Lissette was raised by her late uncle and aunt, James and Margaret Burton in Lakeview, Long Island, New York. Her Late Godmother, Thelma Richards, also played a pivotal role in her young life.
Lissette was a graduate of Malverne High School in 1981. After graduating, she joined the United States Navy. Later she worked for UPS and after years of service, she retired.
Lissette met and married Virgil Williams. Through their union came her first child, Daquan D. Williams. Their marriage did not last, but their friendship endured for many years until Virgil's passing. Years later, Lissette met her partner, the late Wallace Jackson, and her second son Wallace A. Jackson, III was born. Lissette adored her children. Daquan and Wallace were her pride and joy. She felt a deep and abiding love for her boys that could be seen in her expression and heard in her voice whenever she spoke about them. Family was everything to her.
Lissette (also called Starr) was a warm, friendly and kind person that loved with her whole heart. If you were her friend, she was loyal for life. But whoa to anyone who took her kindness for weakness. She was small but mighty.
Lissette loved to sing though she couldn't carry a tune to save her life. We can smile at the memory now but at the time, it was torture. She loved to eat, but cooking was not her talent either. Lissette most loved spending holidays and special celebrations with the family. We never asked her to bring food. Plates and napkins were her lane.
Lissette loved the Lord, Christ Jesus, and gave her life to Him at an early age. In her latter years, she suffered with long term health issues but her faith in God through Jesus never wavered. Lissette joined the Power House Church of NY. She was unable to attend services regularly due to her health issues. Still, she found strength and comfort in the Lord.
Lissette heard the voice of Jesus call her home on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, Daquan Williams (wife: May) and Wallace (Allie)Jackson, III.; grandson - Aiden Williams; bonus son - Milton Smallwood; sister - Pamela Burton; nephews - Derrick Burton (wife: Krystal) and Gary Morrison; cousins - Marie Allen Harrison, Vanessa Burton, Foster Burton, and a host of extended family and friends.
Lovingly submitted by her sister Pam
