Obituary of Torrey L. Parker

Please share a memory of Torrey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Torrey L. Parker was born on August 4, 1978 at South Nassau Hospital. His education started at the City of Long Beach Head Start Program, The Long Beach Middle School and Long Beach High School where he played Varsity Basket Ball. Torrey started work at the age of 14 for the City of Long Beach Summer Program where he later became full-time until his death. He was an avid Chicago Bull and San Francisco 49ers fan. "DON'T DARE TALK JUNK ABOUT HIS TEAMS". You were in for a big debate. Even though he never had any children he love and cherished his cousins, Amaree, Lil' Devin, Naryah, Tameyah, Nylah, Kaylah and Kyndle. He was always serious with them when it came to their homework and staying in school. He would discipline them when they did wrong, but would spoil them with pizza and money. They thought he was rich. Torrey was Annette's only child he found siblings in his cousins, Bianca, Devin, and Candice, Rufus Jr., Shaun, Terrance, (moms) Elaine, Willamae, Marion, Dannette and many more. Torrey is preceded in death by his grandparents Colonel and Mahala Parker (2) Uncles Rufus and Colonel, Jr. (5) Aunts, Julia, Catherine, Ida, Katie and Carolyn. He leaves to mourn his mother Annette, Mattie (Aunt), Lois (Aunt), (4) Uncle Robert, Ralph, Eugene, Oscar and a host of relatives, too many to name and (2) special friends Jackpot and Ed. Torrey, you will be greatly missed! We love you, REST IN PEACE!
